Synergy Supports JDRF

LEAVE A LEGACY

Synergy Supports JDRF

Synergy will never deviate from our desire to leave a legacy of good. We are constantly involved with local and international charity groups and efforts, and it is a priority for us to continue to find new ways we can share.

When we look for opportunities to donate time and money, we seek out groups that have wide-spread effects, especially those that benefit children. One charity that is dear to the heart of our executives is the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is the leading non-governmental funder of type 1 diabetes research in the world. The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and it’s complications through the support of research. Type 1 diabetes is typically diagnosed in young children and comes on rapidly without any known cause. This diagnosis leaves these children insulin-dependent for life, pricking their fingers up to 10-12 times a day to test their blood glucose. They also have to compensate with insulin for every gram of carbohydrate they eat.

Synergy Founder and CEO Dan Higginson serves as a member of the Board of Chancellors for JDRF and acted as Corporate Chairman for the primary fundraiser for JDRF, Walk to Cure Diabetes, in 2005 and 2006. This year, he has been instrumental in setting up a motorcycle ride to raise money for the foundation. The Lavapalooza 2009 Woodstock Tribute will be “A Day of Peace, Music + Motorcycles” – a hard-core/Harley riding/Jimi Hendrix loving crowd joining together to support Juvenile Diabetes.

Because we believe this is such an important cause, we are joining together to raise money for the JDRF. Dan has set a personal goal of raising $10,000 to further this effort and with our help he can reach it. No amount is too small in our quest for a cure!

Your donation and support of JDRF is greatly appreciated. With the help and generosity of Synergy Team Members, we are confident that we will reach our fundraising goal this year. You can donate by cash or check, or online by credit card. Dan’s personal donation homepage can be visited at Walk .

Thank you for your kindness and support in helping us reach our goal and make a difference through JDRF.
